A couple of years ago, I had a dream where I had ended up on a small island in the middle of a big ocean, surrounded by very deep water with small black islands all around me that were just too far away to jump to. On the horizon was the skyline of a city. It wasn’t quite a nightmare but I really felt the depth of the ocean around me, and how impossible it would be to reach that city.
