Stick Chair – spalted birch (sold)

This tiny chair is the only chair I ever carved in spalted wood. Its appearance is more classical than some of my other chairs. This is partly due to the conservative rake and splay of the legs and partially due to the great number of upright sticks above the seat.

The chair measures 1-3/4″ wide by 1-3/4 deep by 3-3/8″ high (45mm wide by 46mm deep by 85mm high). The total height including the base is 4-3/4″ (118mm).
